Filson Safari Cloth Jacket
Availability: | In stock (2) |
An archival jacket in historic fabric for warm, dry jobs.
This exceptional work jacket combines an iconic fabric from our 1980s archives with the design of a favorite work jacket from the same era. The Safari Cloth fabric is a midweight cotton canvas with an exceptionally tight weave, once used for jackets on safaris for protection against aggressive insects. The material withstands abrasion and is nearly impervious to wind.
The jacket design is waist length so you can access a tool belt and it won’t ride up while seated on machinery. The large back shoulder pleats are descended from our classic hunting coats and provided complete freedom of motion for climbing, working overhead, or swinging a hammer. The front features our classic work-coat pocket arrangement with flapped and slotted chest pockets and side-entry hand pockets. The front, waist adjustment tabs, and adjustable cuffs secure with virtually unbreakable snaps that are easy to operate while wearing leather gloves.
